Fellowship Power Lunch
Veterans and First Responders Appreciation Lunch

In 2019, Fellowship Power Lunch launched its first Veterans Appreciation November Event as a way to honor those who served in the United States Armed Forces. We feel it’s the least we can do to give back to those who have given up so much for our country and our freedom.

Our Veterans and First Responders Appreciation Lunch is held annually in November in Frisco, Texas. Every year, we feature a veteran as our keynote speaker to share his or her story and inspire us. Please join us as we support these amazing men and women of our military and first responders.

If you’re a veteran or first responder, we want to honor you! There is no cost for you and your spouse or guest to attend. Please let us know you’re coming by registering below.

It is our patriotic duty to pay tribute to our military veterans who have contributed so much to the preservation of this Nation, and for the freedoms and security we enjoy. Since 2019, LisaKay Gurney and the Fellowship Power Lunch team have led the way in bringing our community together to connect with our veterans and their spouses and to show our deep gratitude. The Veterans Appreciation Luncheon is a powerful and inspiring event that I look forward to every year! Thank you LisaKay and team for serving those who have served us!

Citizens support Veteran causes for a variety of reasons, but for LisaKay Gurney, it’s a mission of love and comes from her servant’s heart. Giving back to our Veteran community is part of who she is and reinforces her God-given character and inspires positive patriotic action in everyone around her! LisaKay has helped make Frisco Veteran-friendly and Veteran-ready, and she has become a trusted advisor and valuable resource for our Veterans. I have witnessed Gurney’s work first hand, and as she applies her knowledge and experience, she truly demonstrates how one person can serve their country by serving their community. Its an honor and a privilege to know LisaKay Gurney and I consider her a “Battle Buddy” as we work together to honor our Veterans, thank them for their service, and welcome them home!

The Frisco American Legion continues to serve our country by serving our community in a multitude of ways. Some of their programs include supporting our veterans through financial assistance, visiting veterans in retirement and rehabilitation facilities, their Color & Honor Guard presenting the colors for events large and small, and fighting for our veterans rights.
