Our November 2022 Veterans Appreciation Event keynote speaker is Jennifer Marshall, a proud U.S. Navy veteran turned actress and host. You may know her as the host of Mysteries Decoded on the CW, or as Max’s mom on Netflix’s mega-hit, Stranger Things. Jennifer’s a licensed Private Investigator in real life and she’s also appeared on NCIS, Hawaii Five-0, NCIS: LA, and Amazon’s Reacher.
In the Navy, Jennifer served for five years and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While in the military, she worked as an aircraft handler and in aviation logistics—as well as having some challenging collateral duties on the Ship’s Security Defense Force Team and Repair Locker Fire Team. Jennifer separated honorably from the service as a Second-Class Petty Officer, earning, among other awards, a Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal. Jennifer also holds a master’s degree in Criminal Justice and a dual Bachelor’s in International Studies and Spanish.
Jennifer serves on the Veterans and Community Oversight and Engagement Board (VCOEB) on a Federal level, advocating for homeless and at-risk veterans. Jennifer was chosen to Executive Produce five veteran-centered mental health public service announcements through the Department of Veterans Affairs Make the Connection and has independently produced 30 veteran PSAs highlighting the service of women veterans.
You won’t want to miss our November 15th Veterans Appreciation Event at Frisco Hall. Veterans and a guest receive complimentary registration. For our non-veteran friends and supporters, please join us as a sponsor as we generously honor those who have bravely served our country.
