Fellowship Power Lunch
Veterans Appreciation November Event

In 2019, Fellowship Power Lunch launched its first Veterans Appreciation November Event as a way to honor those who served in the United States Armed Forces. We feel it’s the least we can do to give back to those who have given up so much for our country and our freedom.

Our Veterans Appreciation November Event is held annually in November in Frisco, Texas. Every year, we feature a veteran as our keynote speaker to share his or her story and inspire us. Please join us as we support these amazing men and women of our military.

If you’re a veteran, we want to honor you! There is no cost for you and your spouse or guest to attend. Please let us know you’re coming by registering below.

FPL Veterans Appreciation November Event Benefactors

Hope For The Warriors was founded by military families aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC in 2006 as they witnessed, firsthand, the effects war imparts on service members and their families. Nationally, Hope For The Warriors provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans, and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement, and connections to community resources.

Since 1968, Frisco Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8273 has been providing unique and urgently needed services that improve the lives of veterans, military personnel and their families all the while supporting positive citizen involvement for the betterment of the Frisco and surrounding communities.

Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, Wreath Across America’s mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,500 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
The mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is to assist the U. S. Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas.
The Texas Veterans Hall of Fame’ mission is to honor all Texas Veterans for their service, sacrifices and accomplishments. They also seek to preserve the history and stories of our Texas Veterans and to educate the public on those stories.

The Fellowship Power Lunch Veterans Appreciation Event has been a fresh and new luncheon in Frisco honoring veterans during the month of November. For the last two years the leadership team organizing the event have engaged meaningful and empowering guest speakers leaving the veteran in attendance inspired and uplifted regardless of the challenges they are currently facing. All around a wonderful event for all veterans to attend. I look forward to attending for years to come!

We are blessed here in North Texas by patriots like LisaKay Gurney and her Fellowship Power Lunch organization.   Annually she hosts one of the most meaningful lunches honoring not only our veterans but their spouses.   The speakers are dynamic and uplifting, the camaraderie meaningful and it is a great event for all veterans to attend.

Citizens support Veteran causes for a variety of reasons, but for LisaKay Gurney, it’s a mission of love and comes from her servant’s heart. Giving back to our Veteran community is part of who she is and reinforces her God-given character and inspires positive patriotic action in everyone around her! LisaKay has helped make Frisco Veteran-friendly and Veteran-ready, and she has become a trusted advisor and valuable resource for our Veterans. I have witnessed Gurney’s work first hand, and as she applies her knowledge and experience, she truly demonstrates how one person can serve their country by serving their community. Its an honor and a privilege to know LisaKay Gurney and I consider her a “Battle Buddy” as we work together to honor our Veterans, thank them for their service, and welcome them home!
