Wow, August is here and we’re ready to announce our next guest speaker!

Gerard Ibarra, Ph.D. is an author who teaches individuals, institutions, governments, and companies how to make better decisions.

He points out that most decisions stem from our needs, wants, and emotions. Those decisions that we make that are not the best ones usually involve our wants and emotions. He also shows that through systems and long-term thinking, we can reduce our chances of making poor decisions. So, his “why” for his book is, to get us to think critically and not become slaves to marketing, news, peer pressure, and/or our emotions. And in the end, he personally discovered something much more profound in his “why.”
